There are only a couple of times a year that I LOVE indulging in delicious, decadent SWEET TREATS ... Valentine's Day and Mother's Day! I am very picky when it comes to candy, chocolates and cakes. If it's not phenomenal I won't bother eating it - why waste the calories on inferior chocolate, right? Well, I believe I have a knack for sourcing out some of the BEST of the BEST sweet confections that are totally worth the effort (and $$$) to order for your loved one this Valentine's Day. Probably one of the most delicious little, party-in-your-mouth cakes I have ever tasted! I saw these on the Food Network and just had to try them. I am now officially hooked!

Each rose petal petits four contains 4 layers of delicate vanilla bean cake layered with rose petal ganache and covered in white chocolate. Atop each petits four is a single candied rose petal. Presented in an ivory corduroy-embossed box tied with a rose-colored ribbon.

Last But Not Least ... See's Candies

You can never really go wrong with a box of good quality chocolates, candies or nuts. If you're on tight budget, See's is perfect as you can get a nice selection of your loved one's favorites for around $24.00. I only really have two favorite chocolates from See's that I buy again and again - the 'California Brittle' (roasted almond buttercrunch toffee drenched in milk chocolate - the perfect amount of salty & sweet) and the Dark Chocolate 'Scotch Mallow' (marshmallow with a buttery caramel dipped in rich, dark chocolate). Everyone has their favorites - right?
