Several years ago, my sister Erin Shannon Pennacchio; a talented clothing designer in N. Hollywood, CA who specializes in bridal and evening gowns (gowngirl@aol.com); wore a Swarovski Crystal "twist" coin necklace that I designed for her to a function in West Hollywood. It was made with these pretty coin shaped Swarovski crystals called "Twist" beads from Artbeads.com http://www.artbeads.com/swarovski-crystal-twist-beads-22mm.html. The subtle color of these particular crystals featured below is called "Golden Shadow" and I combined them with clear AB bicone crystals which were threaded on two strands of sterling silver beading chain. It was a simple, yet classic design with so much sparkle. Perfect with an evening gown or cocktail dress. Little did I know, that my design would become the inspiration for many more versions to come and I ended up making several of them over the years in all different styles and colors. While my sister was at the Hollywood function, she met the beautiful, vivacious Stephanie Frederic, Entertainment Reporter for the BET (Black Entertainment Network in Los Angeles). Stephanie loved the crystal necklace and asked where she could get one. She contacted me shortly thereafter and I made this three-strand version for her. Thank you Stephanie!

GOLDEN SHADOW "TWIST" BEADS - 22mm SIZE: (you can also use 14mm or 18mm size twist beads although the hole needs to be large enough to accommodate 2 strands of .5mm silver / gold beading chain)
