Stairing Right at YOU!

One of THE BEST WAYS tone your legs, calves, glutes, butt and thighs is probably STAIR-ING right at you...hint, hint!  If you have stairs in your house - find reasons to go up and down them as often as possible.   If you are working in a high story corporate building and need to take the elevator to get to your floor - take the stairs instead!  If you live near a highschool like I do, chances are - there are stadium stairs.  I use both the stairs and the bleachers for a multitude of challenging exercises.  
My Stadium Work-out:
#1)  Warm up first by speed walking or jogging around the track a few times.  

 #2)  Sprint straight up each flight of stairs (between the bleachers) stepping on every other step.  Come back down and run to the next flight of stairs.  Repeat this 3-4 times.

#3)  Run diagonally up each flight of bleachers until you have gone all the way across every flight.  Pump your arms back and forth as you go - this will really get your adrenaline going and increase your cardio.  Then walk around the track once in-between to give yourself a little recovery time.  Repeat as many times as you can.  I always go for three sets of each with one lap around the track inbetween.
This work-out should only take you 30-45 minutes max and you're done!  Stairs will do amazing things for your legs and give you great endurance!

Heather's Power Smoothie Recipe (For 2):
6 ounces fresh organic orange or pineapple juice
6 ounces fresh organic coconut milk
1 T melted organic coconut oil (Barleans)
1 cup fresh or frozen fruit (I like mango and peaches or any berry combination)
1 T Barlean's Key Lime Omega Swirl
3-4 Ice Cubes
1-2 tsp organic Chia Seeds (Barleans)

Put everything in the blender and puree until smooth!
