Earrings are always a quick and easy way to brighten up your face and dress up an outfit. I am always amazed at how a dangly drop style or pretty chandellier earring or even just a simple pearl stud will add some pizzazz to a woman's outfit. I love making earrings - the ideas come to me quickly once I start working on them - it's almost addictive! I tend to go in phases with my styles - some days I will make everything quite intricate using small wire wrapped crystals - other days I will keep it very simple and just make various 'stacked' styles that are pleasing to the eye. Women look great with their hair in a nice sleek ponytail with a long, dangly pair of earrings. It really accentuates a graceful, long neck. A pop of color such as turquoise or amethyst will also bring out the blue in a woman's eyes. These first three designs are what I would call "shoulder dusters" because they are long and come close to the shoulders. Blue Chalcedony is probably one of my favorite precious stones - it has a cool milky lavender/blue color and is sooooo feminine. I also love pearls! You can dress up even the most casual outfit with a pair of pearl earrings. The design below shows a cascade of cream glass pearls that I have made in a three-tiered design from largest to smallest and then I added a simple little bicone crystal to the bottom for some sparkle. The third design is really fun and edgy! Nice big stabilized turquoise rounds with a cluster of stainless steel chains - perfect with a t-shirt and jeans and also a great look with a sleek ponytail.

Another thing I like to do when making earrings, is mix up my metals. You don't have to use the same metals in one design - sometimes I mix antique brass findings with gold, or gunmetal findings with antique brass, or, silver, gold & gunmetal all together. There are NO RULES when it comes to designing! Here are a few more styles I came up with:
